Views on World Cup 2010

Although I dislike soccer, a lot. I realise that it feels different when you're playing soccer and when you're watching it. To me, it feels that watching soccer makes me more excited as I'll be cheering crazily for my favourite team/country hoping that they will win or even thrash the other team.

One thing I like about the world cup is that it brings a lot of interaction between people from different countries, different races together. Outside the field, soccer players from different countries will greet one another and exchange informations on their cultures to each other. Why are they able to click so well? They all have one passion, and that was football. In the field, though each and everyone of them will be able to put in their 100% in the game, they will be having fun at the same time as they know it's such a rare opportunity to challenge players from other countries. Furthermore, world cup happens once every four years! They have to treasure this opportunity. World cup not only brings soccers players from different countries together, it also bring fans who support the same country but they do not know one another. For example, at the coffee shop, soccer fans will gather in front of the television and when one of the team scores, you will be able to see half of the people in the coffee shop cheering and hugging the people beside each other.

The country that has benefited the most in this year World Cup 2010 is South Africa. As World cup is held over there, soccer players from all around the world had to gather there, and with soccer players around, there are bound to have fans following them whenever they go or even witness the soccer match. Hence, south Africa had a lot of tourist during that period. This has increase the government economy's as South africa was attracting a lot of tourism.

Spain was the overall championship for this year world cup and I was upset because I was a fan of Germany, so was my dad. But it's okay as Germany WILL be the winner for the world cup 2014 :D
